‘Walkathon 2015’ on Universal Child Rights Day
FAsCE India joined hands with a group of 30 NGOs in Guwahati to celebrate the Universal Child Rights Day on Nov 21, 2015
at Panbazar in a rally named ‘Walkathon 2015’. It was organized by MATRI a local NGO, in collaboration with 30 NGOs working
for Child Rights, including FAsCE India, with this year’s theme ‘Stop Violence against Children’. Children from our Supplementary
Education Centre and Child Rights Club of SFS Higher Secondary School Narengi participated in it enthusiastically.
The rally was preceded with a variety entertainment programme by the children of the participating NGOs. The children and the
child rights defenders actively participated in ‘walkathon 2015’ carrying placards and festoons bearing images and slogans on the
theme’ stop violence against children ‘ to spread awareness about child rights among the citizenry of Guwahati city.
